Setting the Scene

The Community Engagement Website is an interactive forum designed to keep community members informed about ongoing pipeline projects. It serves as a central hub for updates, fostering transparency and engagement between project teams and the public.

As the previous website was scheduled to be decommissioned, a new solution was needed—one that would not only replace the outdated system but also improve usability and encourage community participation.

I built the new site in Squarespace, incorporating features tailored to the community's needs. This included real-time project updates, interactive forms, polls, and email listserv sign-ups, all aimed at making project information more accessible and fostering direct communication. By streamlining navigation and enhancing engagement tools, the new website encourages more active participation and ensures stakeholders stay informed.

Creating Uniformity

Each website page follows the same custom design template that prioritizes user-friendly elements, including buttons, tabs, graphics, and accordions. This uniformity in design promotes a visually cohesive brand identity and facilitates easy recognition and navigation.

Consistency also serves as a foundation for responsiveness across various devices. Whether accessed from a desktop, tablet, or mobile device, users can rely on a uniform and adaptive design that ensures a smooth experience regardless of the screen size.

The website also provides names, contact information, and photos of key project team members to promote transparency. To date, 200+ community members have subscribed to the project update newsletters.
